In 2009 I began inviting people (strangers) to come to my home for tea, once a month. It was part of what was called the Underground Supperclub movement at the time.
I set up a website and uploaded event dates with 12 places available.
Only those who booked a place would get the know the exact location, which is where the underground bit came it.
I baked scones, cakes, made lots of fresh sandwiches and brewed plenty of tea. I did this for about 2 years. It was a lot of fun. People arrived as strangers and left as friends.
